Do you allow others to surprise you on Mother's day? How do you handle the unknown?
This #mothersday I released all control and let my daughter do her thing. And guess what happened? It was perfect! I put imaginary tape on these lips that sometimes can ask way too many questions. I sat on these hands that have exceptional investigative skills and made a promise to myself not to Google anything. When we hit the road, I looked out of the window instead of at her GPS. I vowed to go with the flow, stay in the moment, and simply allow.
This was my chance to reignite the love I once had for surprises and spontaneity. It manifested into a magical day full of all the things I love to do (eating, exploring, running my mouth), and some that I purposely had not done in years (the subway 😲) - and it was all good.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to just go with the flow?
